School Visits to The Story Museum
Each 2 hour visit to The Story Museum includes an hour exploring the exhibitions and a 45 minute workshop delivered by a member of our experienced Learning team. Our 2016 exhibitions are ‘Animal: a safari through stories’ and ‘Time for Bed’.
Explore and Engage

- Have amazing encounters with favourite animal characters
- Use all your senses to explore and understand their worlds
- Dress up and create your own awesome animal
- Snuggle up with cuddly creatures for tales on our giant bed.

Bring your class to one of our teacher-recommended workshops. We offer reading, writing, storytelling and museum-making sessions for all ages and abilities.

We hold a wide range of events, performances and workshops for pupils both here at The Story Museum and in your own school. Our work is inspired by our exhibitions and the way that professional story makers work and is tailored to the needs of the national curriculum.
Professional training and development for teachers includes working with partners such as Storytelling Schools and the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education to deliver high quality teacher training. Please click here for what we currently have on offer.
