About Katrice

Katrice Horsley was born in Birmingham into a large extended family. She had a speech impairment and did not speak at school until she was thirteen. Instead she immersed herself in reading and writing. Later, working in child play and development, she discovered a flair for telling stories which deepened during six years in Ghana, where storytelling is a part of everyday life. The UK’s National Storytelling Laureate (2012–2014), Katrice works as a trainer, adviser and motivational speaker, championing the importance of storytelling in everyone’s lives.
